Welcome Session & Creative Corner: Con La Deuda Al Cuello

Welcome to the Global South Women’s Forum 2022 and the Global Tribunal of Women Workers! Join us for the launch of #GSWF2022 as we kick start this global movement.

After the welcome session, stay on for our first Creative Corner! Reshaping conventional notions of activism through the kaleidoscope of art, our Creative Corners host a diverse range of artists, creatives and activists from the Global South. Embark with us on a journey of films, songs, live performances and art in all its vibrant manifestations as a contemporary tool of feminist activism.

In this session, Emilia Reyes and Denisse M. Vélez from Equidad de Género and and the Campaign of Campaigns share the joy and importance of combining art with feminist ecomomic justice advocacy. With special guest, Ceci Sotres of Mexican theatre company, Las Reinas Chulas, they will showcase two artistic works: a clip of the play, Con La Deuda al Cuello, and an animated video on the role of care work in the economy.
