Palestinian Women Fighting toward Environmental Justice
14 September 2021 @ 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm UTC+8
Workshop
Organised by Palestinian Environmental NGOs Network (PENGON)-Friends of the Earth Palestine
Description: Palestinian women are playing a lead role in tackling some of Palestine’s biggest environmental threats. Our mission through this session was to listen to them and shed light on them. This session identified and valued women who, day after day, take care of our environment in several ways, and promoted their small, frequent, and specific actions which are models and could be replicated therefore leading to impact and outreach. The hope is that this storytelling session would draw attention and more financing to such actions, therefore leading to influencing policy-making as well as inspiring many other young women to become proactive in promoting our environment. Listen to the Palestinian women who fight to find environmental solutions despite the political, social, and economical challenges they face daily.
