Description: Climate change is now threatening our existence. Around the world, people face different and multiple disasters which put them at risk and make them more vulnerable. Climate change has significantly impacted women and because of climate change, women are facing multiple socio-economic, gender and health issues. In this session, we identified these facts and visualised how climate justice is directly linked with justice for women.

The session focused on how to achieve climate justice through gender justice by highlighting how climate change has impacted communities based on their gender differently, with women and girls bearing the brunt of it. It also highlighted how creating a more gender-just society can help to tackle the climate crisis in countries like Nepal, Bangladesh, Malaysia and the entire Global South. We used this opportunity to bring awareness to the power of youth within the climate movement, raising their voices for climate justice for women, girls and those most marginalised.
