Speaker:
Sophie Efange

The Audacity to Disrupt is a learning and sharing session directed at women’s rights activists from all parts of the world who are fighting to disrupt dominant narratives and oppressive systems that continue to push women behind.

The session seeks to introduce the key concepts within feminist macro-level economics, its importance for building alternative feminist economies – especially post-Covid-19 - as well as how it fits within the broader global fight for women’s rights and gender equality.

The session will also begin to unpack the crucial role that feminist macro-level economics plays in the redistribution of power and resources from the Global North to the Global South and the legacy of colonialism and unequal power relations that have been central in the design of our global economy.
