This session will highlight key issues around macroeconomic justice especially for the marginalised LBTQ community in Africa. We will use poetry and spoken word to highlight issues affecting communities and then open for an "ask anything" session which will initiate dialogue and conversations specifically looking at the LBTQ community.

Speakers:
Tinashe Wakapila
Miles Moyo (Voice Of The Voiceless)

This session will highlight key issues around macroeconomic justice especially for the marginalised LBTQ community in Africa. We will interrogate issues around budget tracking and financing for marginalised communities; labour and the impact of not opening up labour markets for all; access to loans, markets and financial facilities free of stigma discrimination and violence; and global conversations around economic justice that acknowledge funding trends that support marginalised communities and in which areas, moving from narratives being framed in a gender-based violence framework and expanding it to economic access and support.

The session will use poetry and spoken word to highlight issues affecting communities. We will then open for an "ask anything" session which will initiate dialogue and conversations specifically looking at the LBTQ community. We will also briefly present findings from a prior Feminist Participatory Action research (FPAR) conducted prior to the session on economic justice, macroeconomics linking to marginalised communities.

Ndebele and Shona interpretation will be available.
